Maryland Stars Win Spring Fling

The Maryland Stars 12U Black Girls Fastpitch Softball Team won the USSSA - Spring Fling held in Sterling, VA at the Potomac Lakes Sportsplex on 4/12 and 4/13/2008. The extremely talented team of 12, played well all weekend scoring 54 runs while allowing only 3 runs in 5 games. The girls went undefeated in the tournament. All players contributed to the offensive assault, accompanied by strong defense and excellent pitching. The first place finish qualifies the team for the USSSA World Series in Florida.
