However, these sources of income are not enough to cover all of the expenses of the program. Thus, the STARS rely heavily on the charity of others, individuals and businesses, to act as sponsors for the program. Sponsorships can be made to the program in the form of goods, services, or money. Since the STARS are a non-profit organization, 501c(3), any donation to the program may be tax deductible and the sponsors can be assured that their donation is going to a good cause.

All sponsors will receive links at the STARS web site. Sponsors with internet presences may also choose to have their Web Page pointed to from the STARS web site. All sponsors will be recognized in the information packet distributed to all teams attending STARS-hosted tournaments.

Four levels of sponsorship are provided:

1. Bronze:donations of less than $199. Bronze sponsors receive a business card size space at the STARS web site.
2. Silver: donations of $200 to less than $499. Silver sponsors receive a plaque with team picture and a business card size space at the STARS web site.
3. Gold: donations of $500 to less than $999. Gold sponsors receive a plaque with a team picture and an half-page advertisement at the STARS web site.
4. Platinum:donations of $1000 or more. Platinum sponsors receive a plaque with a team picture and an entire page on the STARS web page.
