The Maryland STARS hold most of their practices at Mayeski Park, South Carroll High School , Century High School and Winfield Elementary School in southern Carroll County, MD. The STARS also use the Carroll County Sports Complex just north of Westminster, MD for hosting tournaments and hold scrimmage games.

Mayeski Park and South Carroll High School fields are located in Winfield, MD (southern Carroll County).

Mayeski Park and South Carroll High School fields are just 10 minutes from Westminster and Mt. Airy, 20 minutes from the Baltimore Beltway, Columbia, and Damascus and less than 30 minutes from Frederick.

Mayeski Park has three of the finest softball fields in the state of Maryland. Two of these fields have lights and allow the STARS to practice in the evening and stay out of the heat and allow more games to be played during STARS-hosted tournaments. In addition to the fields this park also has a snack shack featuring everything players and fans need for a satisfying day at a tournament. These fields are maintained by Winfield Youth Softball Organization, the Maryland STARS and the Carroll County Recreation and Parks Department.

The South Carroll High School field is within walking distance of Mayeski Park. Use of this field is granted to the Maryland STARS by the principal of South Carroll High School and its use is most welcome by the STARS.

Directions to Mayeski Park and South Carroll High School fields follow:

From Baltimore Beltway: Take I-70 West to Rt. 97 North. Follow Rt. 97 North to Rt. 26 West. Follow Rt. 26 West about 2 miles. South Carroll High School and the Winfield Volunteer Fire Station will be on the right. Take the first right immediately after the fire station. This is the access road to Mayeski Park. The South Carroll High School field will be on the left and the Mayeski Park Fields are at the end of the access road.

From Frederick, MD: Take I-70 East to Rt. 27 North. Follow Rt. 27 North to Rt. 26 East. Follow Rt. 26 East for about 2 miles. Immediately after the S&K Roofing Building on the right is the left turn into the access road to the park. This is the access road to Mayeski Park. The South Carroll High School field will be on the left and the Mayeski Park Fields are at the end of the access road.

From Capitol (DC) Beltway: Take I-270 West/North to Rt. 27 North. Follow Rt. 27 North to Rt. 26 East. Follow Rt. 26 East for about 2 miles. Immediately after the S&K Roofing Building on the right is the left turn into the access road to the park. This is the access road to Mayeski Park. The South Carroll High School field will be on the left and the Mayeski Park Fields are at the end of the access road.

From Gettysburg area: Take Rt. 97 South through Westminster (note that Rt. 97 and Rt. 140 run together as a single highway for a few miles in the Westminster area) and then south of the town. Once south of Westminster follow Rt. 97 for about 8 miles. Go West on Rt. 26 for about two miles. South Carroll High School and the Winfield Volunteer Fire Station will be on the right. Take the first right immediately after the fire station. This is the access road to Mayeski Park. The South Carroll High School field will be on the left and the Mayeski Park Fields are at the end of the access road.

The Carroll County Sports Complex is located just north of Wesminster, MD.

The Carroll County Sports Complex is just 5 minutes from Westminster, 20 minutes from the Baltimore Beltway and Mt. Airy, and 30 minutes from Gettysburg and Frederick.

The Carroll County Sports Complex has five of the finest softball fields in the state of Maryland. Three of these fields have lights. In addition to the fields this park also has a snack shack featuring everything players and fans need for a satisfying day at a tournament. This facility also features indoor restrooms.

From Frederick, MD: Take I-70 East to Rt. 27 North. Follow Rt. 27 North to Rt. 26 East. Follow Rt. 26 East for about 1 1/2 miles. Turn left at traffic signal onto Salem Bottom Road and follow it about 1/4 mile. School will be on the right at the top of a small hill.

From Interstate 70, take Exit 80, Route 32 South. Turn right onto Route 144 West.
Go 1/2 mile, turn right onto Fairgrounds Road.

From the South: Take 32 West (later a sign change into 32 North) to West Friendship.
Turn left onto Route 144 West. Go 1/2 mile, turn right onto Fairgrounds Road.
