The Maryland STARS Girls Fastpitch Softball Tournament Team Program is a program that fields select teams at age groups 10, 12, 14, 16, 18&under and over 18. STARS teams compete at the highest levels and are considered one of the top programs in the region.

The STARS are based in southern Carroll County, Maryland within reasonable driving distance for players in the surrounding counties and south central Pennsylvania. Practices are held at their Mayeski Park complex and surrounding facilities and winter indoor practices and clinics are held at schools in this area.

The STARS' goal is to provide an opportunity for the top and most dedicated athletes to participate at a level of play commensurate with their talents. The STARS are dedicated to player development and growth. Fundamentals and skill development are emphasized over winning.

STARS coaches keep their knowledge current through an intensive training program featuring clinics, certifications, and video programs.

The STARS compete in Softball Tournaments in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Virginia against some of the finest fastpitch softball teams in these areas.

The STARS teams also attempt to qualify and participate in a National tournament. The STARS have played in National and Exposure tournaments in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, and Montreal, Canada.

The STARS are registered with the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA), Triple Crown, National Softball Association (NSA), PONY Softball and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

Help Wanted
Ever wonder what it takes to make the STARS program happen? No it is not magic. Besides teaching the players how to play the game and all of the administrative functions associated with each team, there is plenty of work to be done with the tournaments we host, pitching clinic, field maintenance, scheduling, publicity, fundraising, facilities, etc. Guess how it gets done and who is making it happen.
